ABOUT NK

Neslihan KARALÖK studied a Bachelor of Architecture at Istanbul Technical University [ITU] in Türkiye. This was followed by a Master’s degree in Architecture - Built Environment - Interiors at Politecnico di Milano [POLIMI] in Italy. She focused on ‘Neuroscience Applied to Architecture’ in her thesis, which explored how the built environment affects human health through psychology. She believes that architecture can heal human health both physiologically and psychologically. Creating strong concepts for projects that take their power from user experience, imagining them through context, and connecting them with mental health are the main pillars of her architectural perspective. In line with this holistic approach, she has also earned the LEED Green Associate credential, emphasizing her dedication to sustainable and healthy built environments.

Besides being an architect, she is a writer who enjoys expressing herself through words. Recently, she has been deeply interested in cinema, aiming to reconcile it with architecture as well.
Special thanks to the otherelses of architects who build NK to make her journey occur in the world..
